How to Resolve QuickBooks Error -6000, when opening a company file

Your QuickBooks software can have quite a few errors that you have to resolve, one such error is 6000. It can happen that you are trying to see your company file and you abruptly get a -6000, XXXX error. These kinds of errors are generally trailed by 3 or 4 more digits and a notification representing that your important file will not get opened.
There may be several such error such as:
·         6176, 0: Possible cause of this error is when firewall is blocking the connection between the two computers
·         6000, -107: Possible cause of this error is that the  .TLG file is corrupted
·         6000, -1076: Possible cause of this error is that the  QuickBooks installation is corrupted
·         6010, -100: Possible cause of this error is that the  computer that is not the server is hosting the company file
·         6012, -1061: Possible cause of this error is that the incorrect network is setup.
·         6129, -101: Possible cause of this error is that the incorrect folder authorization or if the QB Database Server Manager is not working properly.
·         6190, 816: Possible cause of this error is that another user is logged in to the company file in single user mode.
·         6000, -832: Possible cause of this error is that the hosting is turned on or the .ND file is not working properly
·         6144, -304: Possible cause of this error is that you have started QB or open your company file
·         6000, -305: Possible cause of this error is that the company file is damaged
·         6073, -816: Possible cause of this error is that the manifold computers are hosting the file or it could be firewall settings are delaying the connection or it could be the file is corrupted.
You need to make sure that your QB drivers are up to date. It is also suggested to install and run the ‘QB File Doctor’ before execution any of the following steps. If you still feel the issue after consuming the tool, make the following solutions in the order suggested.
1.       First rename the .ND and .TLG files
2.       Then open a example company file
3.       Copy the QB file on the system
4.       Restore a backup
5.       Use ADR to restore your backup
If you are opening the file over the network then you are opening the important file which is saved on the server. Then you can follow these instructions.
·         Check if Hosting is switch on, on all workplace
·         Rename the .ND and .TLG files and restart/rescan the Database Server Manager
·         Open a smodel company file locally installed on a workstation
·         Open the company file locally
·         Close all QuickBooks processes
·         Check the folder authorization physically

·         Organize firewall ports and Anti-Virus Software.
